NVZ The publication of the revised regulations for Nitrate Vulnerable Zones on 1 January 2009 has put further pressure on farms within these sensitive areas.  The new guidelines state that any farm producing high Nitrogen organic manures must provide over-winter storage for slurry for 26 weeks of the year for pigs, and for 22 weeks of the year for cattle slurry.  In addition to this, the regulations regarding farm limits of Nitrogen have been modified, creating further work for farmers.  Here at FBR we can assist you with your NVZ records, therefore should you require assistance with any aspect of the revised regulations, please contact Richard Armitage or Jennifer Haig.
