Stuart joined FBR in 2003 as a farm management accountant / consultant, after 8 years’ post-graduate practical and professional farm management experience with a variety of UK agribusinesses. He was appointed as an FBR Director in 2009, and specialises in all aspects of rural surveying practice, focusing on farm and estate business management. David joined FBR in August 2009 as Financial Controller, and was appointed Director in 2011. Before joining FBR, he gained extensive experience as an accountant in a variety of sectors, including a chartered surveyors’ practice, manufacturing, construction, transportation and food production. David is highly experienced in the production of financial accounts and analytical reviews for sole proprietors, partnerships and limited companies. Rob Forrest Rural formed a professional association with FBR Ltd in 2012 and became a Director in 2015. Rob brings extensive practical farm management experience, and is actively involved in running the family farming business. In addition, Rob has practised as an independent rural professional since the late 1990s. He holds a Diploma in Agriculture from Elmwood College, and an MSc in Management and Marketing for Rural Businesses from Plymouth University. Lois joined FBR in 2012 as Property Manager, bringing extensive experience in both rural and city residential property letting, management and marketing. Most recently, she worked on a large rural estate in the Scottish Borders. Sarah joined the team in January 2015 having worked in the region as a rural surveyor for over 8 years. She holds a first class honours degree in Rural Enterprise and Land Management from Harper Adams University College. She qualified as a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) in 2005 and is an RICS Registered Valuer. Sarah is also an elected RICS APC mentor and a member of the Scottish Association of the Agricultural Arbiters and Valuers Association (SAAVA).
Sarah has considerable experience of valuation, sale, acquisition, leasing and development of a wide range of properties including farms, land and development sites across Scotland and North East England. Michael joined FBR as an assistant rural surveyor in January 2017 having previously been working with a national contract farming company at management level. Having worked in the UK and overseas, Michael has gained considerable knowledge, experience and understanding of the agricultural industry and continues to be actively involved in the family farming business in East Lothian.
